To You and Yours
***Disclaimer: I got this idea from Pinterest, an exercise where you write a 20 word sentence, then a 19 word sentence, and so on, ending the story with one word.***

The leaves fall away and the air grows cold as winter blows in, stripping the trees bare of their foliage.
If you’re lucky, you might get that magical snow everyone always dreams about, but all I know is ice.
In Texas it usually rains or shines in the winter, no snow in December, but not in Colorado.
Here the mountains are covered in that rich white powder, and the city is filled with flurries.
It really feels like Christmas in a place like this, a photo from a pretty postcard.
A Hallmark movie set in a picturesque small town, with a small town romance too.
This time of year goes faster the older I get, but the magic remains.
So I’ll listen to festive music early, and I’ll feel nostalgic and warm.
‘Tis the season of giving, of receiving, and of sharing memories together.
I look forward to it even with no snow at home.
I have what counts, and I’ll cherish every moment there.
And I’ll wish for many more years like it.
Here’s to family, friends, and the new year.
To good food and to good company.
To decorating and lighting the tree.
To stockings, milk and cookies.
The new year ahead.
And everything else.
Merry Christmas.
XO.
